This is a moderate trail that is good for hiking year round. This trail is surrounded by pine trees, oak trees, and aspen trees and includes a wide variety of wildlife. It’s also a popular destination for cross-country skiers in the winter and mountain bikers in the summer.
Directions
From Sundance, WY take E Cleveland St. Southwest towards N 5th. Follow it as it turns into Hwy 14.
Follow Hwy 14 for 2 miles until you see the sign for Cook Lake Rec. Area and turn right on Warren Peak Rd.
Follow Warren Peak Rd. for 3.3 Miles and the trail will be on the left.
Follow the road along the lake for a way until you see a sign for the trailhead. There is a small parking area here.
