Iron Mountain Trail

An easy hike to experience views of the Norbeck Wildlife Preserve and the Black Elk Wilderness. Once you reach the picnic area, follow the signs to see an unusual rock formation called “Turtle Rock.”
- From Keystone, take Hwy 16A south.
- Stay on 16A (Iron Mountain Rd) until you come to the Iron Mountain picnic area. You will need to follow the Centennial Trail out of picnic area for a short ways before seeing the Iron Mountain trail to your left.
