Very good trail, first time on. Many blow downs on the Iron Mt Trail, a few on the Centennial Spur. Had a great view of Washington and Lincoln faces from Mt Rushmore.

This is a short, easy trail, great for kids and dogs. The trailhead was easy to miss on the FSR 345 end, but it was clearly marked on the 89a end. It’s easy to loop this trail in with a lot of the other pretty trails in the area to make a full day of hiking out of it, or keep it short and easy with a nice picnic spot (with bathrooms!) at the trailhead.
