This is a beautiful 1 mile loop trail around Oak Park in the town of Whitewood.

*Additional loops are expected to be built off the main loop with a possibility of up to 6 miles of trail in the future.

Directions

Take the Whitewood Exit off I-90.

Upon entering Whitewood, follow Laurel Street to Meade Street & turn right.

Take Meade Street to the end. The trailhead is located at the park.

    Once we located the trailhead the trail was pretty neat. Overgrown in some spots but still pretty. Saw a deer and the trail was easy enough for a couple of 4 year olds to complete. I don’t think many people know about or use the trail but it was pretty for a 1 mile loop in town.

    Nice quiet hike. Seeing the wildlife was neat also. Very relaxing out of the way trail.

    Not particularly well-marked, but generally easy to find & follow in spite of the intersecting wildlife trails. Nothing to write home about, but it’s great for kids and/or dogs, and a nice place to stretch your legs if you’ve been droning down the interstate.
