This is a beautiful trail. Lots of aspen and paper birch. The trees sort of look creepy in the winter. Looking forward to seeing everything green and really excited about seeing the colors in the fall.

Last nights thunderstorms brought the temp down to a beautiful 55 degrees and a little mud. But by the time I was done hiking the trail dried up a bit. I am extremely excited of how green everything was, as well as the floral and fauna I saw. Re-routes were added making the trail 8 miles instead of 7. It seemed that there were a lot of switchbacks to make the trail longer.

Nice trail thru the high meadows and tall pines although a cold, foggy and rainy day didn’t make for the best sightseeing on my run (just wanted to run to stay warm). Decided not to go to mount as too cold today to stay out. Hopefully better time later in Summer when the weather’s better.
